1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WalkTogetherCare website located at walktogethercare.org (the "Site") and the services made available through it. By visiting the Site, submitting any form, or using any feature of the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply to all visitors, care requesters, volunteers, vendor partners, organizational partners, and any other persons who access or use the Site in any capacity.

2. About Our Services

WalkTogetherCare is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free navigational support, practical care coordination, and faith-rooted encouragement to families navigating life crises, special needs care, elder care, and estate transitions. Our EIN is 42-4022078.

Our services are offered entirely free of charge to the families we serve. There is no fee, no subscription, and no financial obligation of any kind for families requesting support.

Through this Site, we facilitate:

• Care request intake — families in need can submit a request for support, which is reviewed by a WalkTogetherCare navigator who will reach out personally.
• Service coordination — once engaged, we help coordinate practical services such as meal delivery, transportation, home safety modifications, respite care, technology assistance, lawn care, and referrals to legal, financial, and other professionals.
• Requester portal — care recipients may access a private, secure portal to track the status of their case and scheduled services.
• Volunteer recruitment — individuals can apply to serve families through our volunteer program.
• Vendor partnerships — qualified service providers can inquire about being listed in our network of trusted vendors to serve the families we support.
• Organizational partnerships — churches, shelters, legal aid organizations, food pantries, and similar organizations can inquire about collaborating with us to serve families in our community.
• Donations — charitable contributions to support our mission are accepted through our third-party donation platform, Zeffy.

3. Eligibility & Use of Site

You must be at least 18 years old to submit any form on this Site. If you are submitting a care request on behalf of a minor child or a family member who cannot do so themselves, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so.

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not:

• Infringe on the rights of any third party
• Transmit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data you are not authorized to access
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure or security
• Submit automated requests, scrapers, or bots without our express written permission
• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable federal, state, or local law

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Site for any user who violates these Terms or whose use we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to our mission, staff, volunteers, or the families we serve.

4. Care & Support Services

Nature of Our Support

WalkTogetherCare provides navigational support, coordination, and encouragement — not licensed medical, legal, financial, therapeutic, or social work services. Our team members and volunteers are compassionate helpers, not licensed professionals acting in a professional capacity.

Any information, guidance, or referrals provided through our services are offered in good faith to assist your family in finding appropriate resources and should not be construed as professional medical advice, legal counsel, financial planning, or psychological treatment.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

We make every effort to connect families with the right resources, volunteers, and vendors, but we cannot guarantee the availability of any specific service, volunteer, or vendor partner at any given time. Response timelines are estimates and may vary based on the complexity of a situation and the availability of our navigators and volunteers.

Faith-Rooted Approach

WalkTogetherCare is a faith-rooted organization grounded in Christian principles. Our navigators and volunteers may offer prayer, scripture-based encouragement, and connections to churches or Christian ministries as part of the support we provide. Acceptance of any faith-related support is always entirely voluntary. We serve all families regardless of faith background.

Requester Portal

Families who submit a care request may receive a unique, signed portal link to view the status of their case. This link is intended for your personal use only. Do not share it with anyone who is not directly involved in your care situation. WalkTogetherCare is not responsible for unauthorized access resulting from a portal link being shared or compromised by the recipient.

5. Volunteer Terms

By submitting a volunteer application, you understand and agree that:

• Your application will be reviewed by our team and is subject to approval. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the volunteer program.
• Prior to being matched with a family, you may be required to complete an onboarding call, agree to a code of conduct, and consent to a background check.
• You will treat all families, their information, and their circumstances with strict confidentiality. You may not disclose any information about a family you serve to third parties without our authorization.
• You will act with compassion, respect, and integrity in all interactions with families, staff, and fellow volunteers.
• You are volunteering freely and are not entitled to compensation for your service.
• WalkTogetherCare reserves the right to remove any volunteer from the program at any time for conduct inconsistent with these Terms or our code of conduct.

6. Vendor & Partner Terms

Vendor Partners

By submitting a vendor partnership inquiry, service providers ("Vendors") understand that:

• Submission of an inquiry does not guarantee acceptance into the vendor network. All vendors are subject to review and approval by WalkTogetherCare.
• Vendors accepted into our network agree to serve the families we refer with honesty, professionalism, and at fair, disclosed rates.
• WalkTogetherCare does not charge referral fees to vendors, nor does it receive commissions from vendor-family transactions. Our role is purely to connect families with trusted providers.
• WalkTogetherCare is not a party to any service agreement between a vendor and a family and is not liable for any dispute, claim, or harm arising from those relationships.
• Vendors may be removed from the network at any time for conduct inconsistent with our mission, values, or the interests of the families we serve.

Organizational Partners

By submitting a partner organization inquiry, organizations ("Partners") understand that:

• Submission of an inquiry does not create a formal partnership agreement. Formal partnership terms, if applicable, will be documented separately.
• Partners agree to handle any family information shared with them with the same standard of care and confidentiality described in our Privacy Policy.
• WalkTogetherCare reserves the right to discontinue any partnership at its discretion.

7. Member Accounts

Volunteers, vendors, and partners who are onboarded into our platform may be issued a member account secured by Supabase authentication. By creating and using a member account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information when creating your account.
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share access with others.
• Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
• Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that are inactive, compromised, or used in violation of these Terms.

8. Content & Conduct

When you submit information through our forms — including care request descriptions, volunteer notes, or vendor and partner comments — you represent that:

• The information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You are not submitting content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful.
• You are not impersonating another person or organization.

We reserve the right to decline, remove, or flag any submission that we believe in good faith violates these standards or that could harm a family, volunteer, or the integrity of our mission.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including text, images, graphics, logos, icons, page layouts, and software — is the property of WalkTogetherCare or its respective licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from this Site without our express prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use such as saving or printing a page for your own reference.

The WalkTogetherCare name, logo, and tagline are trademarks of WalkTogetherCare. Use of our trademarks without prior written consent is prohibited.

10. Disclaimers

No Professional Advice. The information and support provided through this Site and our services are for general navigational and coordinative purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other licensed professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

Third-Party Resources. We may connect families with or link to third-party organizations, vendors, partners, or websites. WalkTogetherCare does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, services, or practices of any third party. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and them.

"As Is" Availability. This Site and its features are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WalkTogetherCare, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or personal injury — arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) this Site or our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liability, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Sarpy County, Nebraska, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operations, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
